I need 1000 a month for 4 months and can possibly buy in one go.

The cheapest crappiest D battery is what I need.

Best I can get is a GP one for 58p ex VAT

Anyone “connected” :-)

Took me less than 20 secs to find them for 39.5p each ex vat, or 30.5p if you buy 192 or more.

What are they for?

Pity it's not a C cell, as there's some out of date ones here, and with the discount code currently running, £130 for 4,800 delivered.

Combine them with 3D-printed adaptors?

I couldn’t and I’ve looked - not great withholding though.

Love your thinking but it’s a very tight spec and they’d be rejected.

I know you said cheapest/crappiest, but worth noting those linked are zinc rather than alkaline. You also mentioned a tight spec...

Plus make sure you actually get them. If a drop ship seller you might never get them for the quantity you need.

Good point but I’m on zinc already it’s the size I couldn’t alter.

I’ll do a trial order but trustpilot looks positive

You really don’t want to know, but your taxes are paying for it and it annoys me as a fellow taxpayer.

That’s why they gotta be D, studies started with AAA and progressed through AA to C, now it’s D before culminating in a lantern battery (the 2 spring version)
