This is currently just a wild idea as I'm fussy about colours and I've been waiting a year for the right combination to come up without success. But now I see a car with the perfect interior and just the wrong colour exterior.

As I know nothing about wrapping hopefully someone here can help with these questions...

Is it feasible to consider wrapping a Vanquish Volante?
If so would the resulting surface resemble paint or plastic?
Does it change the colour completely? - ie is the wrap 100% opaque?
How many Ks might it cost?
Is it a completely stupid idea?

I expect the answers will put me off but I like to rule things in or out!

Hi, know nothing about wraps but if you do go down that route then I'd suggest having high quality pictures and videos of it before wrap so if come to sell/part exchange can show to others that it's nice underneath and not been wrapped to hide paint issues.

Good idea, thanks. I found an online quote website for wrapping and put the details in, and some photos. It thought the car was a Fiat Abarth and estimated £1,698...

I'd have thought 3 to 5k, but it might limit or boost retail options when you move it on.

personally im always suspicious of wrapped cars.

Agreed. It can always be removed of course. Frankly wrapping is my last option; it would feel slightly fake and I'd much rather find a car that's just right, but with Astons unless you want monochrome and black interiors, choices are limited. It's a tough decision - I'd love a Vanquish Volante but I'm also quite fond of my newly shiny DB9...! Not a bad place to be I guess.

You know my views from your previous polishing question, as a painter you are only ever going to get censored from me when you mention wraps.

Me - and plenty of others - would never buy a wrapped car, so you seriously limit resale unless you get it removed.

And for some reason, insurers really don't like wraps so you also limit who will insure it, and pay a premium as a result.
