Hello,

A post to ask for your help. I have a X100V but now I have a problem inserting the memorycard. Normally it 'clicks' into place but not anymore. Does someone has a solution to the problem. I can take the camera back to the shop for a repair but I am leaving for Bhutan soon and I really want to take the camera.

Thanks,
Maurice

Fellow X100v shooter here.

Not had any problems with mine but do you have another card to try to see if it's the card or the camera?

I repair trail cameras which use SD card holders as part of my job, it can be possible that either the retainer clasp has has become broken or bent stopping the card from clicking it to place. It is also possible that there is some debris at the base of the holder stopping the card being pushed down far enough to be retained.
I'm not familiar with the camera, however it might be worth getting a tooth flossing brush, (eg: Wisdom Clean Between PRO Interdental Brushes) and VERY carefully clean out the card holder. You could also use an Air Duster/ can of compressed air in conjunction to get any debris out.

Good luck with it.
