I hate them. Why do stupid numpties fill up with petrol then leave their cars blocking the pumps while they embark on a leisurely browsing spree whilst a queue of cars is backing up half-way to Southmead..? I waited nearly ten minutes before giving up.

And the digital air pump was broken, as usual.

Meanwhile all the proper petrol stations are closing down.

You're not wrong.

Palaces of misery every one.

Why do people do their weekly shop mid rush hour?

There they are, invariably in sandals and polyester merrily paying for oatmeal/granola infusion shampoo and mung beans (3 packets, all reduced) paying in luncheon vouchers and striking up conversation with the checkout type.

Why, why, why are they on the planet, why?

Last time I filled up in Tescos, I moved my car one pump forward to let the guy behind me use the pump. The t**t behind the desk started to give me a bollocking for moving off the pump until I piped up and said:

"Do you work for Sainsburys?"

"No, Tescos"

"Pity, I won't be able to give you any more of my money then"

Tescos have introduced 'Pay at pump only' lanes which get you through quicker... (Except for when you get muppets who fill up with one,and then go in to do the weekly shop!!)

I know the exact one you mean.

T'other night they had virtually run out of unleaded, but all the lanes were open for the diesel pumps (ok so far) but only one double-sided pump had any u/l.

Cue massive queues when Mr & Mrs N. Umpty left their cars on the pumps and wandered off to do some shopping

I thought Tescos had scrapped the pay at the pump idea, It took them a while to work out why sales of petrol station in store impulse buys had gone down something like 30%

What annoys me more than anything, is the lady/handbag obsessed old lady. They takle an eternity to get everything out of their bag to pay with once it has all been rung through, rather than have it there ready. Then once the bloody transaction has been completed, they don't move to one side and put all their clobber back ito their bag, they do it at the till. H
ankies, pens and stuff into bag >
then credit card back in purse >
reward card back in purse >
close purse, ensuring small clasp is done >
put in smallest, most awkward pocket in handbag >
close that if it has a seperate zip >
Close handbag, put around shoulder, then proceed to put all bags in trolley, and wander off banging into people whilst looking at the till reciept to make sure they had the twopence off a 3 pack of bloody sink sponges!!!!
All the while, my frozen stuff has defrosted all over my bread, and dried goods, and leaving me in a fit of rage!! "ROOOAAARRR" I said politely to the lady behind the till!

My local still has it, and it's the only way to pay after about 10 o'clock.

Whats all that about then?
You edited your post before posting it and feel the need to admit to it for some reason?

I hope this is not something that is going to catch on, i can see a lot of bandwidth being wasted.

(edited for grammar)
(edited for politeness)
(checked for Political correctness)
(spelling seems ok)
(context is alright)
(sarcasm level seems sufficient)

Well I originally wrote it with cuss-words (or rather lots of s) because that's how the invective flooded out when I eventually got to work. I didn't include that the divertsion to Tesco took me way off my usual route and into a load of congestion I'd normally avoid.

But I usually let posts sit a while before sending, because quite often I write stuff that, on reflection, even I consider OTT or just rubbish, because just writing the posts is in itself cathartic.

I thought the cuss-words undermined the truths within the post, so out they came.

Ever Visited "East Preston" (Home on John Copper Mini) ?
Known as Gods Waiting Room !
Full of the people you describe !
Im also curious as to why most Old People Drive Honda Civic's ! (Perhaps this is another post !)

Watched one yesterday get in the passenger side of her car today after filling up only to notice the steering wheel is on the other side !
FFS ! - Whats that all about ! : rant:
I know we all got to get to that stage in life but damn .....that scared me I tell ya !

I now fill up in the evening to avoid all this insanity! Most Shoppers have gone home and the Blue Rinse Brigade down here are watching their Soaps.

It take 30 minutes out of my evening but at least at this time I dont feel the need to kill someone becuase they are so fekin ignorant and leave eveyone else waiting 20 minutes ! (and then reverse into you even though you are 10 feet away !) But yet again thats another story..Grrrr !

(And Breath ...............)
Now wheres my Happy Place ????
Not Fekin East Preston thats for sure!
Hehe
