There is a Lucas High Output version 55A available as well, recommended if you are running high output halogen bulbs (100/90) or (130/90)

I had one which replaced a Bosch equivalent with replaced the original Lucas one.

Only thing with buying a Lucas is that you have to contend with the Joseph Lucas Prince of Darkness quips from your mates and every other TVR owner you meet! Though my 55A one was much longer lasting than the German effort!

Rather than fit a 17 ACR you can as we do fit a 18 ACR 45amp hour these fitted as standard to Turbo models ...this looks identical to the 17ACR on the outside but has RED windings rather than GOLD internally. This will deal with full load twin fans and electric fuel pumps along with all the standard equipment that TVR fitted, you should pay no more than 37.00 for one, as it's what we charge exchange, (We have no surcharge for the lesser unit, which other people might try to force you into an outright purchase, so beware!)
