I have a Tuscan Challenge race car (currently in storage) and I have been asked about value for insurance purposes from the storage company. I have been looking around and I can find very little if any information relating to current value. Can anyone on here give an idea of value of the car (I bought the car of Richard Wright a few years back). Thanks in advance

£40-60k. Picked from thin air.

What you pay will reflect the value you put on it so it doesn’t really matter.

2 things

The strong money goes on the ones that are being used/ raced now and show competitive qualities i.e a front runner.

Needing work or unknown maintenance provenance will dull value as any race car not used and not well maintained will likely be fully recommissioned regardless of how good it is. Ragging one of these means the driver needs to be confident that its all in top order, therefore

20k all the way up to the magic 100k and everything in between.

The market and community for these is tight meaning that some folks always know who has what and where it is!

I had considered selling it, it is ex Richard Wright Racing and I bought it with using it as a track day car but I have done my lower back and elbows in that now makes this impossible. So strong contender that I sell it come spring as it looks like I will never be physically fit to use it now unfortunately

Sorry to hear about your predicament.

As I’m sure you know, what value you put on for insurance isn’t the same as what it may sell.

Got any pictures?
