That's my area- sorry to hear of the theft. I know you will have reported it to the usual police/ insurance etc. Was PVTS any use? or not

Really sorry to hear this, absolute sts!

I don't suppose you had recently had a break in in the car?

This happened to my brother in North London on an M3. Nothing was taken on the first break in (which happened in Birmingham) but caught on CCTV they came to his address in North London, looks like they removed a tracker from underneath the car and had a key to unlock and drive the car off. With hindsight he remembered that on the first break in the OBD cover was off.

Police opened the case and immediately closed due to "no evidence". They did then send a letter saying car was found and it needed to be collected. It was actually the engine on a pallet, interior and some panels frown

There is a tracking capability (I think it's called PCC), but I dont have the time / resource to track the car. Most likely I expect it is on a container and was stolen to order.

I've sent the keys off to insurers and waiting for settlement.

Car was not broken into before, but there is a fair amount of car crime in my area (street crime / ASB is very rare). There are probably 20 911s in my local area!
A Skoda Kodiaq was stolen on our road a few months ago.

These days police is basically an admin department and leave it to the owner / insurers to sort out.

I guess a missing body wasn't obvious enough to them - they are not exactly Cambridge Maths Tripos toppers are they!

I owned an M3 (and C63) and had no issues with those, I guess it just what was in demand for the thieves

Sorry to hear this. I remember your post when you bought the car earlier this year. I must admit I thought you were brave parking it on the street.

Sadly I don't have the 6 million quid required to buy a house with a (big) garage in this area! There are loads of 911s parked here.

I had another 911 before, 2 C63, M3, Cayenne and 335i and had no issues with those.

sad to say bit the car almost likely to be already out of the country. It is crazy the number of Porsches Ferrari's and Lamboghini street parkied in London
