We are hoping to go to Los Angeles in December or January in Premium Economy and are presently trying to find the best searching website for tickets.
Kayak seems reasonably simple to use but the other half thinks we will get better prices on her ancient MacBook registered in a poor part of Wales than I will get on my new MacBook Air which for some reason seems to think it’s based in London.
Is she right there, or is that an old wives’ tale? Cursory searches have revealed some differences, her prices are in some cases lower but I’m wondering if there is some other variable at play, eg I’m on DuckDuckGo and she’s still on Chrome.
We’re a bit too old to make sense out of all this so would be very grateful for any gentle guidance on the best way to search that avoids tracking cookies etc, including any general views PH folk might have on what is the nicest Prem Economy airline operating out of London.
Thanks very much in advance for any thoughts.

Since our daughter is at Uni in Ohio, I'm looking regularly at flights to/from the USA.

I use Skyscanner, Booking.com, Expedia & Kiwi - Kiwi can give you prices for range of dates plus bags to be carried rather than just the cheapest seat.. You might need to clear your cookies if repeatedly searching for the same flights.

When I find a good flight, I'll go to the airline website to see if there are any better deals. Because we fly into the East coast, Norse have some great prices (especially economy) in January - unfortunately their LAX route isn't running in Dec/Jan.

Feel free to try this. I took a screen shot and tried it using co pilot ai and it did find some very cheap flights to Brazil where I go in a couple of weeks time.

I wasn’t on a budget though as work are paying so just booked normally but it was interesting to see what it throw up.

Have a go and see how you get on?

Once you’ve identified the cheapest option for you, you might want to try running it through Uber if you’ve got an account. If they can offer the same price then it’s worth booking with them as you’ll get vouchers for 10% of the value back after you travel.

Also consider other ways to get a premium experience. I’ve had success with Aer Lingus a few times, fly out economy and back business for the lie flat seat. Last time I also bid to upgrade the outbound flight and won it. Get through US immigration in Dublin so much faster getting out the airport when you arrive in the US. They don’t do premium economy but you can get extra legroom seats and beyond that is it really worth paying hundreds more for a slightly better meal?

Hmm, food for thought there, thanks.
