Body moisturiser
Discussion
I'm very similar. In the colder months the skin on my hands and ears (weirdly) gets so dry to the point of cracking and bleeding. Tried all sorts of different "moisturiser" shower gels and chemical free stuff, makes no difference. My diet remains the same and can't think of anything else that changes.
I hate winter at the best of times, this makes it even worse

I highly recommend pure aloe Vera. Check ingredients on what your buying and make sure it's >99% and not mixed with crap. Put it on before bed, it goes on sticky but once absorbed it's fine. I use it on holiday and haven't used crappy aftersun for years. Helps in winter to with dry wind burnt skin.
I've been using this for a while now:

Like the OP I hate the feeling of clothing on moisturised skin - this gets absorbed fairly quickly and works very well.
I get it from Boots.

Anyone use it?
Since I've become older my skin becomes dry during the winter, especially on my back which becomes quite itchy.
I dislike the feeling of clothing over skin with cream on, so it would need to be something non-sticky.
Also open to any nutrition ideas that may work.
TIA
I have the same dislike of any creams that are sticky or 'creamy'. I would strongly recommend avoiding any creams that are white in colour. This usually means they contain an oil of some sort, and they will feel sticky and hard to absorb. You need to stick with 'aqua gel' or 'water gel' water-based moisturisers. Basically the ones that look like a clear or mostly clear gel. They are non-sticky, absorb very quickly, and leave the skin feeling fresh rather than greasy.
Any of the following are really good. I've tried loads over the years.

After extensive testing... I now stick to using the last two I linked to. Great products and quite cheap.
The Kiehls is really good stuff. But £37 for 50ml....

DIPROBASE - brilliant stuff.
About £15 for a large dispenser and worth every penny,

I've tried Aveeno and it is so-so.
