Who's got the nicest Griff?
Discussion
As a previous Griff 500 and Chimaera 450 owner I'm considering coming back to a TVR. I think it's most likely going to be a T350 but I remember my previous cars with real fondness and on the basis that I'm not pursuing out and out performance any more I'm conscious that the open top V8 cars still feel really special..Also they're generally still cheaper than T cars so it got me thinking that a really well sorted Griff could still tick the box, especially if it was improved in some areas..
I've seen the Sportmotive LS cars but they're beyond my budget however I like the thought of another Griff with well sorted suspension/chassis, a few engine mods, a nicely trimmed interior and poss tasteful after market wheels..
So my thread is not intending to start a civil war but rather looking for some inspiration to see who's done what to really make their Griff as good as it can be...?

I had a similar thought process which led to me getting a griff last week.
It’s had a full respray, interior retrim, ecu, engine rebuild, nitrons.
Chassis is supposedly sound but I presume will need doing at some point, I may go sportive depending on cash..
The car cost me under £20k, it hasn’t been driven much for 10 years so has some niggles but I think it’s a pretty good starting point.

Must admit I think they look fantastic on the original Amil wheels, the standard styling is pretty much bang on.
I would prefer to see a car left close to standard but maybe with a nicely built engine and aftermarket management, thats all you need really.
Yes I love the pre cat wheels and I loved the estorils on my last car. There's not many other wheels I like on them but I do like cars that have an individuality if done well..I would prefer to see a car left close to standard but maybe with a nicely built engine and aftermarket management, thats all you need really.

Yes I think yours is the Green car from CC isn't it? Looks lovely and the sort of thing I was referencing. HPC have a nice blue car in ar the minute that looks well sorted also wearing SP12's that looks very tempting. It s had a full respray, interior retrim, ecu, engine rebuild, nitrons.

Yes mine is that one. The blue one at hpc looks really good. Engines been rebuilt, brakes upgraded, suspension upgraded and more…. I seriously considered it.I decided mine was a keeper a few years ago and started “The List” to make it perfect for me including :
1/ 7” front lights (sportmotive) like the SE model
2/ MBE (Powers)
3/ Taraka+ upgrade (Powers)
4/ Power steering (Lloyd Specialist Development)
5/ Wilwood front brakes
6/ New alarm with decent remotes (HF Solutions)
7/ bits like Levenshtein wipers, new dash, Surrey Roof, ets
The best value for money / biggest improvement was the MBE upgrade by Powers. Have fun !

I rather fond of mine, had it from new in March '99. AM Pentland Green with ocean green/saddle/butterscotch inside, various power upgrades 325bhp, Raceline wheels, AP Racing 4 x pot brakes, Nitron shocks, aluminium bits inside. Still puts a grin on my face after 26 years!

I'm rather fond too RichB! Ever since seeing that photo of it on a lawn with a Cerb in the background I thought it was one of the nicest I'd seen. Love the colour combo and the wheels. Looks an absolute cracker! Incidentally I painted my old Caterham in AM Pentland Green too...Great colour
