Heathrow to Folkestone Transfer
Discussion
We're travelling down to LHR in a couple of weeks, family of 4 including a 6 year old and 10 month old. Visiting family in Folkestone for a week and will have a buggy, suitcases etc. I'm assuming a private transfer or taxi is our best option? I'm not sure I fancy navigating trains/underground with two young kids at rush hour..
Any recommendations on who to use? Or any better options? Thanks.

There is more simple train option - Elizabeth line from LHR to Stratford, change to a fast train to Ashford, then cab from there. Maybe trains to Folkestone from Ashford.
There s 1 train an hour from Stratford to Folkestone direct via HS1https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/g...
I looked this up, mainly out of curiosity. £183.25 return for 2 adults and 1 child and that’s with a £70 saving by splitting tickets at Hayes. If you do decide to do this by train, buy yourself a family railcard beforehand as this brings it down to £111.50 with the same split.

And people wonder why people don't use the train.... cheaper than a cab though I suppose.https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/g...
