I have sent three enquiries to collecting cars to sell on the website but had no reply or contact. I sent them an email a week later advising them nobody and got back to my enquiry. Has anyone experienced similar with collecting cars recently? Are they now slow to respond?

Have sold a couple of things with them over the last couple of years including plates and they have always called back quite quickly.

A friend tried to use them to sell his car and never heard back but I assumed it was them being selective. He ended up selling with Iconic Auctions.

Thanks for reply. Was your friend being ignored recently?

I’ve had the impression, over the years, that they aren’t very organised. The business has grown very quickly and my sense is that they have struggled to keep up at times. I’m sure there is also a bit of selection as well around what they are willing to put on their platform.

Perhaps it's just their way of saying no thanks. What car is it? Try sending an enquiry to sell a super swanky Ferrari and see if you get a response perhaps.

Fair points but a courtesy message is not a lot to expect. No replies puts doubt in your head using or buying from the website in future.

Agreed. I have always found them reasonably responsive, annoying to not get a reply. You could always try one of their consignment specialists direct, such as ethan.mussell@collectingcars.com

Surprised at this when I didn’t want them to be involved at all they repeatedly phoned me up when I had a car for sale. I told them I had no interest in using them but they still persisted.

What makes you think the OP has called them?

It would seem the best option rather then post here and still be none the wiser. When a quick 2 minute call would have answered the question as to why they haven't got back to you, be it the wrong car, wrong value, wrong email address etc.
