Laurencekirk Garages
Discussion
Patrick,
What is the car and what is the work?
The Autolounge (a local supercar dealership) is in the area of Laurencekirk and they have a service bay with a very capable ex-Porsche mechanic. He has done work for me previously and I can vouch for the quality of service. If the car is more run-of-the-mill then the Owner of Autolounge has also got an interest in Firstdrive Cars at Stonehaven where an equally skilled team operate.

Cheers but the usual guy I had been using when I was in Stonehaven was next to First Drive, I'm looking for someone a bit closer just for convenience the majority of the time. The cars are 18 and 20 years old (XKR and Clio Trophy) so niggles are not uncommon.
Where exactly are Autolounge on the map? The google location is a bit random but assume this isn't miles off?- https://maps.app.goo.gl/3dVX1DhjkCQ6pDj26
I had spoken to them before about more involved work on the XKR and would be happy to use them but the closer the better.

One of my mates lives in Fordoun and, I think, has used the garage there for some work which he was happy with.
Would that be Grampian Garage just outside? There's also Barry Cooper right in Fordoun but they appear to be more of a bodyshop.Ritchie335is said:
Mearns Motors in Laurencekirk are good, as are Wilson s over the hill at St.Cyrus.
