We’re stopping in Antwerp Zuid for Fri and Sat nights on our way back to Rotterdam-Hull ferry on Sunday pm. Any must-sees, eateries, bars etc to take in?

If museums are your thing then the MAS museum (https://mas.be/en) near the docks is good for the history of the Antwerp, it's also housed in a brilliant structure. The Plantin-Moretus museum (https://museumplantinmoretus.be/en) is also very good.

Loads of bars and eateries around the main square but try and get off the beaten track a bit, some are real tourist traps. Ordering a bolleke (the local brew) never gets old and it is a great beer as far as 'standard' beers go. You can get a visitors pass which covers all the trams and they are an efficient way to get about although the old centre is very walkable, and you should as there are lots of little streets and alleys to explore. The central station is also worth a look, magnificent structure with platforms on several levels.

We went to Antwerp in the summer. Really enjoyed it

You should definitely book a tour here:-

and here:-

We travelled all around Belgium and these were the best chocolate and beer tours we went on.

The best thing about De Koninck beer? The way you order it in Dutch.

De Ware Jacob for the ultimate brown beer cafe experience, Cafe Pardaf for the best dark and lambic list I’ve ever seen if that’s your thing

Thx for all replies! As it happened we had to curtail the visit due to a stomach-bug, but did manage MAS, Central Stn and a number of side street bars/cafes. Appetite wetted for another visit!
