The misses and I are spending 2 weeks in South Korea for a Spring holiday in March / April. The rough idea is to spend a few days in Seoul before travelling *somewhere else* for 6 or 7 days before making our way back to to Seoul.

Obviously being so early in the year the beach type places are probably out of the question, and it would be nice to go somewhere that isn't just another city.

Ideally we would like a relaxing atmosphere, nice surroundings and places to explore.

If anyone has any recommendations I would love to hear them!

Jeju Island would fit what you're looking for and is a common destination alongside Seoul and Busan.

You'd also be in Korea around about the time of the cherry blossoms.

I've been looking at SK lately too, visiting my son in Oz in feb and thought about calling there on way back in mid march. Only got about 5 days and I'm on my own. Not the cheapest place to eat and drink however.
