I have a 2007 E91 BMW 325i with a beige Dakota leather interior. The interior has lasted incredibly well with little sign of its miles but the passenger's side door handle (the part you pull the door shut with) has gone peculiar with the plastic becoming sticky and seeming to have started to 'rot'.

I would prefer to replace the part with a new OEM part if possible. Is there a recommended site to buy parts like this from?

I've got Beige Dakota in my E90 and have the same problem on the driver's side!

I haven't bothered doing anything with it given the age and value of the car, but if you want new I think BMW might be the best option.

I'd try to find a decent used part from a breaker like Quarry Motors first.

Is there a BMW parts website that lists parts for the E91?

https://www.sytnerstevenagebmwparts.co.uk/p/BMW_20...

This what you need?

I've found Sytner Stevenage to be excellent as a reference, and their prices are generally lower than my local branch.

Edit: there's another beige one:

Putting your chassis number in should show the right bits I think?

Or there's also this handle?

I'll have a good look at that but I think it's just the second one. Thanks for this, it's really helpful!

It's odd how it has rotted - all the other ones are absolutely fine and the interior is in very good condition otherwise. It's been a very good car.

Does your wife always sit on that side and use that door?

Does she use hand cream/moisturiser?

It does a right number on soft-touch plastics and the like.

I was also thinking it must have got some moisturiser or hand cream on it at some point.

Put your VIN in to realOEM.com and browse the parts diagrams to get the exact numbers for your spec. BMW dealers are usually cheapest for genuine parts but it s worth checking eBay as occasionally they can be found cheaper. Otherwise you re looking at finding specialist breakers. Facebook owners groups are a pretty good resource in that respect.

If you contact Cotswold BMW parts desk and tell them you are a member of PH you should get 10% discount, or you used to. Putting the part number into Ebay will also pull up a number of breakers; although I've had good service from eastern European I would rather buy from UK based traders.
