Got caught back in Sept by a Van doing 55 in a 30 coming out of an industrial estate.

Was in my partner's car so have sent it back stating I was driving.

Clean licence for over 20 years.

Would I be right to expect a day in court, a hefty fine and up to 6 points?

No excuses, far too fast for a 30 zone, I'm fully aware of that.

Not sure it'll matter but in Northumberland so Northumbria Police.

55 in a 30 is a bit cheeky, how did you manage that?

He messed up. As he admitted. Being sanctimonious (which is where you are going) is predictable and boring.

I'm a 10mph over the limit kind of guy as imho limits are always set too low. 25 over though is some going!

That isn't trying really, and I was sat next to my BiL when he got caught at 84 in a 30 years back! 3 Volvo T5 police cars came chasing after us(we were stopped at the traffic lights a bit further down the road), and they showed us the radar gun with 84mph showing on it!(we actually touched 110mph before we got to the lights though yikes).

Very very silly when I look back now, but he did get a £600 fine, and banned for a year, and asked to take an extended retest. That was back in the 90's though. I still get the blame now for that, even though I wasn't driving, because apparently I was a bad influence! hehe

Oh bog off you cretin, I was genuinely curious. White knighting is even more predictable and boring particularly when you have absolutely no idea on 'where I was going.'

Re the bold- why would you self incriminate? Remember your old au pair who has since returned to the Ukraine and is now untraceable often used to borrow the car ?
Yeah because PCOJ is nowhere near as bad as a speeding fine

I thought I did well spotting a marked car at 125mph on a dual carriageway and 'only' getting zapped at 103. Passed the attitude test and got away with 'driving in excess of 70mph' so three points and a tiny fine. Lucky boy that day!

And the photo the speed camera can would have taken?

This is spectacularly bad advice.

Does 123 in a 30 get me in the hall of fame? I got off with it.......
