Brand identity/ graphic design
Discussion
Used to use a site called logobylogo which I am 99% sure I got from a PH tip, sadly seems defunct. Pretty sure they were a forerunner to fiverr and the like, where designers took whatever sum inbetween 'real work' times to produce a lot of stuff for buttons.
Where do you go to these days? No rush, and sorry graphic designers wanting £400/ hour, this isn't in that space I am afraid.
Need a work up for a logo design with a few variations for social media use, I don't know what they're called but the 2m x 80cm pull-up banners, a few step and repeats, and some merchandise. In the olden days that was £25 on logobylogo, I expect to pay some more but a decent brief can be put together with the ask.
And of course, who are you using for those banners and step/ repeats? Far too many out there to know, so recommendations welcome. Delivery to/ collection from Bristol & surrounds will be required.
Any recommendations welcome, appreciate there are huge variations in price, but also quality, "middling" for the banners is fine, it's not lowest cost, but it's not far off!

As a former Graphic Designer and something my agency still does, I'd love to know who's charging £400 per hour and how!
I'm not going to pontificate on the the importance of good graphic design and branding. But it is important. Building a relationship with a decent little design studio, of which there are many out there, will pay dividends in the long run and will cost you much less than you imagine.
Entirely up to you but would avoid using any of the automated logo generator tools / gen Ai, etc. You might get something that fits the bill but at some point in the future when you need a white version on a transparent background or a vector version or similar, you'll be stuck.
Other than that, Fiverr is probably your best bet. Even though we do design ourselves, we often use that for some stuff and get some good results for reasonable fees.
Regarding the pull-up banners..... loads of online suppliers. Vista Print do them. Solopress are good too. There's lots of options in terms of price but the cheaper ones look cheap and don't last. And don't forget you'll need artwork so another reason you'd benefit from making friends with a local designer!

He's just using that figure to justify the fact that he doesn't want to spend any money, but wants the best job. He's hoping that someone will come on here and volunteer to do it for him for next to nothing.
A good graphic designer is a very skilled person indeed, but certain people don't seem to realise that and don't want to pay for their skills.

I have no interest in a volunteer, and there's plainly no need to be giving people exposure when they will take money.A good graphic designer is a very skilled person indeed, but certain people don't seem to realise that and don't want to pay for their skills.
Sorted on Fiverr for £150, far more than I could have paid, liked the portfolio and options offered.
But thanks for all the needless snark.
