Rush - all their songs were 15 minutes long, they never rushed anything!
The Thompson Twins - there were three of them!
Small Faces - none of them had particularly small faces.

Bauhaus. If they wanted to be named after an art and architecture style, surely it should be Gothic.

Better than that, none of them were called Thompson.

See also Alabama 3. They're from Brixton and there weren't three of them.

And Shed 7. Nothing to do with a shed and there aren't seven of them.

U2. No, just don't ask...

Indeed. It reminds me of how Roger Daltry used to sing "Hope I die before I get old". Well, bad luck.

Or as Mark and Lard used to say, they started out as an eleven piece band but now there's only four of them...

I think the lead singer would have said they were an appropriately named band, in fact he was adamant.

Kid Rock - now 54 years old.

Greta van Fleet - might as well have called themselves Hertz van Rental.

The Ramones - no, they weren't related.

Bush - WTF? Kate Bush - fair enough.

Milli Vanilli - didn't even have the courtesy to be in their own band.

Barenaked Ladies

The Who (one of the more well known bands)

Fat White Family (actually pretty gaunt from the heroin habits)
