I’ve the dreaded touch screen where it didn’t work on one side. I’ve ordered a replacement off Amazon. I’ve checked a few videos out on YouTube many say that the 2 screws that hold the ribbon on are a right pain. Well I’ve just examined mine and one’s been stripped. I’ve got small PH and PZ screwdrivers and even some JIS ones too.

Now is there any other method to removing the screen? I did. Think of undoing either of the screws on the side and then tilting the screen. Which would allow the screws on the back to be removed which then drop out. But it maybe too awkward. As I don’t want to drill the screw out

Pic of the offending screw may help.

Aside of that I would be trying to get anything that would grip into the screw head first, perhaps a torx, maybe a small flat blade or anything else that may get it moving.

With perseverance you will get something in there even if you need to use a small drill & torx or similar.

I’ll try a small Torx. I’ve tried a small straight edge but it wouldn’t bite.
