Please help me give some opinions on which second car to get
Discussion
Hi everyone, i live in ldn and around me majority areas are all 20 mph and often traffic. I passed 10 months ago at 24 years old and been driving my first car leon 1.8 fr for 8 months. Its manual car so want to go auto because of start/stop traffic.
Budget: 15k - 16k
Options are :
1. Golf GTI mk7/7.5 fwd
2. bmw f20 120i b48 rwd m sport
3. f30 320i b48 / f36 420i gran coupe b48 m sport
Insurance : paid 2k for leon (replacing leon midway policy cost below)
GTI : 500-600 addition to 2k
Bmw 120i : 500-600 addition to 2k
Bmw 320i/420i : 1.1k - 1.3k addition to 2k
About me:
Prefer comfort but also fun and engaging car but also should not struggle with parking and keep it for like 3-4 years. Will defo stage 1 remap watever i get and if bmw then also zf 8 gearbox mapped aswell. I do 1 motorway journey a month.
I will be buying the car around November so that i turn 25 and my insurance goes bit down.
Questions:
1. Is it worth it to go for saloon living in east ldn and have been driving hatchback for like 8 months, will I struggle with parallel parking (cars parked on both sides) and tight manoeuvring so much that I would wish if i had gone for hatchback?
2. which one will be more comfy to sit in and enjoy cruise?
3. Are rwd really that scary like if on motorway and going 60 in rain in same lane like will it spin out?
Thanks for reading and i would really appreciate if you really help me out

I think the saloon and hatchback will probably be the same width so either should be ok.Budget: 15k - 16k

They’ve probably got the same seats too.
Rwd is ok in the rain. It’s snow that’ll catch you out.
If being practical isn't a top priority and you want something truly fun to drive, i would consider an auto Toyota GT86. RWD, fun and small enough that parking isn't bad (parking sensors are an option on some). Ive done 65,000 miles in mine (Manual) a mix of motorway, B roads and track, and it does everything well. Obviously there little to no gain by remapping however modification support is huge if thats your sort of thing. I bought mine 5 years ago at 19 and insurance was £1200 for the year and now at 24 its £700. Worth a thought.
