Disqualify 7 to 56 days or 6 points, and a fine starting at 150% of your weekly income.

A ban is probably for the best if you weren’t able to spot the car behind sticking with you at those speeds.

If done for 111mph, the speedo must have been hovering around the 120 mark.....

Wiltshire Police will take a very dim view, they do not like you doing that on their patch.

If AI is right, the TOR will result in a Court Summons.

You should expect that it will go to court, speeding fines on motorways are higher and if found guilty the story will appear in the 'In the Dock' column in all the local rags.

You'll be famous or is that imfamous...

We have very different understandings of "rule 34".

Would I have to show up to court? She said if I accept the penalty that the court then decides and sends another letter through with the points / ban + fine?
I think it depends, were you a long way from home?

.. which is odd as I had my cruise set to 100/110 for most of the time..
Which is unlikely to end well!

25 mins away..
You could do it in 15 mins if you set your cruise at 58% above the speed limit, it is a Beemer after all.

3 years driving experience but happy to sit on cruise control at nearly 160% of the speed limit, at night.....scratchchin You'll hopefully understand why I, and probably others, don't agree with your statement.

I appreciate your not posting here to be judged/educated, but you need the book throwing at you, for your own benefit / realignment of what is deemed 'dangerous'.

As someone who drives the M4 through Wiltshire fairly regularly, including late in the evening....whilst the motorway may have been 'quieter than usual', your never far from a deer running across, HGVs drifting across lanes, much slower cars pottering, lane closures, debris. You need to give yourself half a chance.

My speedo? Would not say so, its quite accurate (2015 FK2). Was probably around 115 which is odd as I had my cruise set to 100/110 for most of the time..
And you thought that a good idea why?

Was it worth it? It’s not like known penalties aren’t out there and assuming the BMW thing you wasn’t a copper seems odd.

Never be the fastest thing out there.

So much for being a car enthusiast forum hahaha.. All right lads, sleep tight once I'm off the roads wink
Plenty of us speed. Some of us might sometimes do it at over 100mph.
I suspect that the number of us who would do 110+ on a motorway at night is very much less. And even then, I think most who did so would admit it was a stupid thing to do.

Your attitude is more worrying than your actual speeding.
