Screen protectors for mobile.

I ordered these for my new 17. Went on perfectly first time. As always, prep is everything - sticky pad particularly.

Are they really necessary these days with gorilla glass and all ?
I haven't bothered for a few years and there's no scratches on my screen
I am not sure - but I'd hate even the smallest scratch on the screen of a £1,100 iPhone, particularly when screen protectors completely eliminate the risk and are indistinguishable from the unadorned screen. With a protector it can go in any pocket with keys or whatever. A scratch is there forever. I haven't bothered for a few years and there's no scratches on my screen

Another vote for that ESR; almost fool proof. I’m OCD so would hate any scratches on the original screen, and it also feels better with an Apple case as the protector reduces the lip of the casehttps://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FC2CGXKG?ref=ppx_yo2...
I have this on currently...

I like the privacy element of it too.

On Amazon or eBay I just search for 'tempered' plus phone model and buy whatever is cheap. Most work fine if screen is flat, curved screens are a bit more problematic.
My Samsung s21U came with a thin film one from the factory already in place and it still is now nearly 5 years later, the screen has a slightly curved edge. There are some fine scratches on it but it has done a decent job although I am fairly careful with the phone.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
