I have had new front subframe and wishbones fitted, and I am now thinking it's a great time to apply some extra protection.

After some brief digging around trying to not go down a rabbit hole of research, and resisting the Lanoguard adverts following around everywhere, I am considering the quick/lazy/easy route of just spraying this stuff all over the new bits:

1ltr-dinitrol-4010-corroheat-clear-rust-proofing (I am not allowed to post the actual URL :screamsmile

Convince me I am wrong?

Why quick and lazy? it's a £1200 car at best and replacement parts like these are unlikely to last like the originals.

I’d go BiltHamber UC. Dries clear, easy to apply and lasts well - I treated my Up! GTI when it was brand new, and everything still looks as such underneath.

Dinitrol and Bilt Hamber are both very good products, no real need to use corroheat to be honest for your application.

In my limited experience it’s the bushes that fail way before suspension parts corrode enough to require replacement.

Is the subframe hollow? In which case you might also want some cavity wax.

A bit late but XCP aersol is very good anti corosion wax, it is easy to apply and has done very well in any tests i've seen on youtube. Available quite cheap from halfords.
