Defender 110 (L336) D300
Discussion
New to me is this Pangea Green Defender 110.
My line of work requires me to spend time messing around in woodland and wildlife reserves so I applied some creative man maths and came up with this solution.
The car is a former Landrover experience centre car. I picked it up with 4k on the clock, the off road packs, the additional diff, tow bar, 7 seats, off road tyres, fridge (didn't know I needed this but nice to have), a load of options I would never tick in a million years (Cabin Air Purification Plus!?!) and a good £20k less than when new a year or so earlier.
While I like the black and dark grey colours I just couldn't bring myself to follow the crowd so it had to be blue or green + no black wheels.
The BIK options are not great on the hybrid so figured I'd go full diesel, so D300 it was and I am pleased. Engine is smooth and has more power than I'll ever need. On the whole the car handles far better than I expected. It's on road presence is fantastic and the tech is a joy to use, responsive, good interface etc.
Upon delivery I took it round our fields, tracks and woodland. Got it nice and muddy then drove to visit family in Switzerland. It is not economical (32mpg long term average after 5k) but a joy to cover long distances in.
4 months in. Very happy indeed. Can see this staying for a good long while.

Lovely and love the spec. Hear hear on the sea of black and grey ones across the country.
Tell me if I'm wrong OP but the inside of these don't feel like a £60-70k+ car new? I appreciate these weren't built for 'luxury' first off though.
Suppose its a preference thing. The quality is certainly there (feels very durable) and the tech is great. If you are looking for Range Rover luxury then I suppose you should head that way. Mine will be filled with kids, dogs, tools, mud, rubbish etc. So the utility angle works for me.

I really like the colour, my wife doesn't. One of the reasons we didn't end up with a Defender was colour choices.
They're all bloody black or grey!
There is a new green colour, not seen one yet. They're all bloody black or grey!
I am bias but I just could not add to the sea of black and grey cars (not just Defender).

It's a bit darker. Either way, they're both lovely colours and as mentioned even better with the silver wheels. I am bias but I just could not add to the sea of black and grey cars (not just Defender).
Black on black, give me a break
