Pretty sure that car was repaired by a Cardiff lad who bought it heavily crash damaged around early 2022.

It’s been on and off sale since summer 2022, not sure if it’s the same owner or if it’s been passed about.

Thanks. The seller is a dealer who has no history.

It is very cheap - although I am looking for a track/hillclimb car - I want to know the frame/chassis is sound and straight.

I’m from Cardiff and know someone in the trade who was offering the car about in 2022. Let me see if he knows the full extent of the damage it suffered before it was repaired.

If you can that would be great, thank you.

The dealer selling knows absolutely nothing.

It’ll be a cat S as it suffered structural damage at a repair cost exceeding 50-60k - wont have been a small one to write that off.

The exact same pic is used on https://carplugclub.com/

a site that trains wannabe independent car dealers.
Is there anything between the lines there to read?

Just dropped him a message with the registration asking if it’s the same car.

I know what a cat s is and it does not necessarily mean that much damage. I have seen another GT4 with a Cat S repair and it was nowhere near £50-60k to repair, indeed a fraction of that.

Not all Cat S repairs are equal. Some are horrendous, some I would be more than happy to buy.

Is the dealer advertising it for sale declaring its a cat S.

He would have done a check on it, so must know its a cat S and therefore must disclose this fact to any would be purchaser.

True but if you look at their reviews on autotrader, theres a vast number of highly critical 1* reviews about cars with dodgy repairs or faults.

Its a super cheap car, so tread carefully, why not offer subject to it being inspected at Porsche - that'd be a good test of the dealers knowledge and confidence in the car....

It is listed as Cat S - I am trying to find out any info on the damage/repair.

He has said he is happy for me to have it inspected. I am not going to invest in that unless I can get more information on the repair. I would also use an independent specialist look at it. I had a car inspected by Porsche that had been crashed and they did not even know.

I just checked that - right on their homepage wobble

Although it could simply be that they ripped the photo like I did.

If I can't find any info on the damage/repair I am not interested anyway - even at the price it is for sale.

Thanks for checking.

It was on CAP 110S and then on 718 UNY.

I think it was on 718 UNY when it was damaged.
