App to add text to photos for social media
Discussion
Morning all,
I am an opera singer and use social media, particularly Instagram, for shameless self promotion.
How do I add text to stage photos? Obviously there is the text generator on the IG site but the text seems to get lost in the photo itself.
Here are a couple of examples (from a colleague) of what I am hoping to achieve: a black box with text is added to a photo above it, and a separate quote is created on a black background.
Thanks in advance for any tips

Have a look at Photoshop Express. That should do what you want.

I don't think it will create the stylistic quote box in the above images, but I use Annotable to add pointers, text, and magnification loupes to photos on my phone, but Annotable could certainly add a black text box very quickly to an image.
It looks like it's iOS only, £10 for all features, £2 for all text features and fonts, and I think they have a free version which should be enough for you to see if it can do what you want;

EDIT; I saw "instagram" and "App to add text" and just assumed you wanted an app for mobile devices. For desktop/laptop work I use Pixelmator Pro (avoids the whole Adobe recurring charges/contract problems) to create images like this, but most of the time I just use Annotable on my phone, more limited but it tends to be quicker.
