having owned this car for 24 years I cannot get the rear brake splash plates.

The splash plates support the drum brakes used as a hand brake.

any ideas please.

i have tried many places without sucess.

thanks

Ken

PS the OEM numbers are 4211 95 and 4212 95

It might help to avoid using the term 'brake splash plate', as that is a very flimsy bit of tin behind a brake disc, whereas you are seeking the (drum) 'brake back plate', which is far more substantial as it has to withstand the forces involved with the handbrake system.
The TVR Cerbera uses Peugeot 605 handbrake components within their own bespoke disc/drum, and consequently has a rear brake back plate that has all the right bits in all the right places to mount the shoes, springs, adjusters, and expanding mechanisms. However, the Cerbera uses a Jeep three-bolt wheel bearing mounted on a bespoke upright, so the centre and the mounting holes of the TVR back plate may well be different to that on the 605/607. They are also very expensive (C.£180 each) as they are milled from billet aluminium. But... they are available, may well be modifiable, or may provide you with a starting point to have your own back plates made to directly fit your 607.

Is the problem that the retaining hole for the shoe retaining pin has corroded out?

I get that. Usually corrosion of the retaining hole for the shoe retainer is the issue. Is that the case here or is it corrosion of another area of the plate?

Thanks again

i think its almost disintegrated. The engineer is good at repairs but couldn't save it.

That's a shame. BMWs often have an issue in this area that there's a good quick fix for using a specially formed washer. If the whole backing plate is in bad shape though that's a different matter. Best of luck finding what you need.

Have you tried this firm ? I've been BUT it was a many years ago ! Their stock was very impressive and Peugeot's are their speciality.
Can't vouch for existence now but appear to be ! - http://www.peugeotparts.co.uk/ That may be an old site. Found this :- https://www.peugeotcitroenrepairs.co.uk/aboutus/
They seem to exist on e-bay so a strong possibility, HTH. - https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/peugeotpartsspecialists...
PS - As TK states
