After some urgent help if anyone has been in the same situation.

We are heading to Dubai a week on Friday and taking our daughters friend with us, who is 15.

We know that its best practice to travel with a signed letter from her parents giving us permission, along with copies of her parents passports etc.

However my wife has just double checked and Emirates have advised that no child under 18 will be admitted to the UAE unless they are with a parent/ legal guardian. My wife is on the phone to UAE immigration but is being pushed from pillar to post so just wondering if anyone has any useful advice.

Thank you - reassuring as I can't see any recent changes around the rules.

My biggest issue is that everyone seems to be passing the buck with the continual suggestion that the UAE could refuse entry.

There is a template letter online
Get it signed by the parents
Get it witnessed by a professional
Get a copy of the parents’ passports
Make sure the signatures match
