Watched 2 episodes and it's very average. Don't think I'll waste any more of my time.
It's a shame as I really like Niamh Algar. She was brilliant in the ITV drama Playing Nice but this kind of actiom show doesn't really suit her acting capabilities.
Day of the Jackal was decent, even though filled with plot holes and cliches.

I m of the same opinion re Sky products but I ll give this a go but not hopeful I saw the ad for this in the pub the other night and thought it might be worth watching. It's the same pub where I saw the ad for "Atomic" a while back. Sounds as if it might on a similar level, maybe one for when there's nothing else. As I'm getting around to a new series of "Tracker", and waiting for the end of "Slow Horses" to do that in one or two sittings, and apparently a third series of The Diplomat, that might not be for a while.

Episode two, when Iris was in what I assume was the basement of the villa. The Police had no idea where she was and there was no indication on the screen how they managed to follow her to find she'd padlocked the door. I even went back to see if they'd seen her or found a clue, nothing. Plot Holes the size of Trumps Ego. She's also very good at throwing very heavy rocks with unerring accuracy.MissChief said:

They spent all the money on locations and none on scripts or getting a casting director who knew better actors and actresses!

I wouldn't say it was crap. Thought the lead was well cast, story decent and locations well shot. But the plot holes cheapened the experience for sure. Would probably watch S2 if they made one.Riddled with plot holes and clichés makes it crap. Not decent!

Sky have made a few outstanding shows like Gomorrah and Chernobyl. But there have only been a handful.

Watched the first 2 episodes last night. I thought the story/writing was absolutely pathetic. Not really sure, given the past ten years of peak TV we have lived through, you can still make TV this ropey with even the smallest of budgets.
Likewise, I've seen the first two episodes and thought it was instantly forgettable. It's a shame because Tom Hollander is usually in some great stuff. The bit where he explains that Big Potato is a a topological quantum device using qubits made form majorana zero mode quasiparticles 
... And I thought cubits was green burger chutney, show what I know. Then when she dodges a hail of bullets from a trained assassin yet manages to clonk a rock on his bonce, thrown blindly in the dark.

I wondered the same thing. but it's one of a few things that aren't explained. Like how quickly Iris becomes accustomed to guns and shooting, and how to strip down a grenade and use the contents for something else. . Maybe part of a back story that I didn't notice.I've seen the end of it now. I enjoyed the series overall, but then I'm a sucker for the glossy locations. Sort-of glad that it would be really difficult for there to be another series.

We finished watching it last night and I've got mixed feelings about it. There were some large plot holes and plenty of things which were unexplained or highly improbable. But the production values were high, Tom Hollander was excellent, as always (especially his flashback scene at the start of the final episode) and it kept my attention.
I'm giving it a 6/10.
