Throttle Cable

Need a new one, is it a TVR part only or is there an alternative, any help appreciated.

From my understanding its TVR only if you want to buy one ready made to lenght.
Although if you have the old one you should be able to get one made up to the same length.

I ordered one on Friday from TMS, which arrived on Saturday morning (good service) however its wrong.
They are now looking into it as the cable they supplied has just a nipple at each end, the original has a U shape with a clevis pin/split pin at the linkage end. Will report back my findings but may need help with a cable manufacturer.

Sorry GreenV8S, it's the linkage end it has frayed to one strand left, better count myself lucky as spotted when looking back through some service sheets. I have recently purchased the car and the previous owner was advised two years ago...

It's a standard RR throttle assembly so I would expect to find that it is a standard RR cable. But I bought all mine through a TVR dealer (until I figured out how to stop them breaking ) so I can't confirm that. Anyway, the engine ends are always a clevice fitting so if any TR specialist/dealer sent you a nipple fitting they should hang their heads in shame.

Yes it was a TVR dealer who sent the cable...its for a Cerbera, apparently it was in the wrong parts bin so a new Griff cable is in the post today. Hope it's correct, how did you stop yours from breaking. Thanks for help.
