Full size (60cm) integrated microwave?
Discussion
Mum lives in a retirement apartment, leasehold. Bought new, about 7 years ago.
The kitchen is in very good condition, but pretty small.
Since living there, she has used the integrated oven (placed in the middle of a larder unit) just 3 times. She uses a Panasonic combi microwave or air fryer, which take up a lot of worktop space., while the oven sits there doing nothing.
She'd like to replace the oven with an integrated microwave/convection oven.
Problem is, the vast majority are "compact" designs, 45ch high, and the existing oven is 60cm.
The only 60cm units that I can find are from Bosch, Siemens, and Smeg. £1500 and upwards.
Any cheaper units that I'm missing?
The alternative would be a 45cm oven, and an extra drawer box or filler panel. Might be tricky to match the fronts, and would require modifying the cabinet.
Freeholder insists that any modifications get approval, and it has to be put back to standard before selling up.
A 60cm unit would be a straight swap.

Not sure how the freeholder has any say over kitchen adaptations. Structural changes I can see though.
Either way I'd just put a standard combi oven in the hole and use the space above to store the air fryer on top.
ETA realised she has a combi oven that's big enough. So try that as an experiment first.

Does the Microwave get used much?
I'd got for a full size single oven with Air Fryer function then maybe stash the Microwave into a cupboard or shelf if you need the worktop space.
She uses the microwave pretty much every day, often as a convection oven. Faster and cheaper than the standard oven.I'd got for a full size single oven with Air Fryer function then maybe stash the Microwave into a cupboard or shelf if you need the worktop space.
Cupboard space is extremely limited, kitchen is only about 2 metres square. Nowhere to put a freestanding microwave, except for the worktop.

There are no 600mm high integrated microwaves (that just microwave), although I have found this combination oven which would work:

If you wish to replace the existing single oven with an integrated microwave, I'd suggest a 450mm height compact with a 150mm warming drawer underneath.

I've got a Panasonic Inverter microwave and if it's like mine I can understand why she uses it every day ... not just a microwave .... but oven , grill , steamer ,panacrunch pizza cooker... best thing since sliced bread , can time every operation ... So they've probably stopped making them now Cupboard space is extremely limited, kitchen is only about 2 metres square. Nowhere to put a freestanding microwave, except for the worktop.

Someone posted about the Russell Hobbs combi earlier, and it looks like it'll do what she wants - combination oven and microwave that'll fill the available space, and keep the freeholder happy.https://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/rhmeo7202ds/r...

A 45cm unit plus a drawer would fit, and for most users it would make more sense.
Probably would've suited Mum a few years ago too, but, at 88, she's shrinking. Now down to 5 feet tall. Raising the oven door by 6 inches might be an issue, and if the drawer was above the oven she wouldn't be able to see what's in it.
