I need a new (to me) car. We are not mechanics, or in any way knowledgeable about cars or engines!
-Very Large boot space (dog crate and self employed, so carry a lot of stuff around!)
-Automatic
-Probably diesel as I do a lot of miles and no drive so can’t have an EV

Budget -£12-15k

Short list is
2019 RENAULT KOLEOS
2.0 dCi GT Line 5dr 2WD X-Tronic 38500 miles

Ford Kuga 1.5 TDCi ST-Line X 5dr Auto 2WD 2018 4300miles

Hyundai Santa Fe
2.2 CRDi Blue Drive Premium 5dr Auto [7 Seats] 2017 42000 miles

Any help/advice appreciated

Thanks! Food for thought there!
I do like the Koleos, something that I haven’t seen until I’ve started looking this time

They're a good option that's often overlooked.

Left field suggestion.
I've just swapped from a Santa Fe to an Isuzu d-max pickup & love it.

It's comfortable, has all the toys I need & (with a hardtop on) a massive boot.

I had a navara for years and loved it, but sadly not enough room in the back seat for leggy teenagers!

You can just squeeze into a Shogun Sport for that budget. They are a bit agricultural but fairly bombproof...

Probably worth having a look at an X-trail as it’s almost the same car.

I’ve had a 2018 1.6 diesel x-trail tekna for the last 5 years and put over 130k on it with no issues.
I think all the Koleos are 5 seats so probably have a bit more boot space than most x-trails which seem to be 7 seat. Mine is a 5 seat and it is useful to have the false floor or drop it for taller stuff.
