I have been "playing" with specs on a new Macan S (petrol), having just missed a July 2025 registered example, which - amongst a mega spec - had Active Cruise Control, and Surface Coated Discs, both of which are - to me - desirable options.

However, the current configurator doesn't offer either of these options.

I can kind of understand the withdrawal of the SC discs as the uptake might have been low, but Active Cruise Control is surely very useful, especially if you have to suffer the temporary speed limit nightmare that is the M27 these days (and has been for at least 5 years).

I know there is a probably a MY change between a July build and now, but it just seems a surprising omission/change at this stage.

Has anyone else managed to spec ACC since July 25?

I don’t know about the issue with ACC, but I certainly wouldn’t consider surface coated brakes as desirable. They can scratch or chip, exposing the steel below. Not a problem, but then Porsche will want the disc replacing to maintain your warranty. You don’t then wish to be arguing if it’s road damage or poor manufacturing. This scenario has come up many times on Porsche forums.

Yes, but the wheels stay clean...;-)

OK - if they are that fragile I will give them a miss.

ACC is a very strange deletion though, as so many manufacturers offer it now.

If I read the blurb correctly this also offered a bit more than just active cruise, as it included some pedestrian avoidance braking.
