NRW Vanos covers for S65

Anyone fitted these?

I assume it’s a good idea to head off potential failure of the standard plastic ones?

I had Ventrax ones fitted but I agree that the plastic ones from the factory are a concern. The guys at RBM Hook, who fitted them, said they're nicely engineered although the NRW ones are no doubt very good too.

I was having NRW valve covers done so it made sense to get the VANOS covers at the same time 'while we're in there'.

It seems that VANOS covers, rod bearings and fuel injectors are now considered necessary maintenance items (well, by risk averse owners anyway). I'd add a DCT fluid change to that list, personally. Throttle actuators as and when too.
