After another masterclass from Max and Red Bull, we’re off to Mexico for a high altitude/low drag race. If Max wins here is he favourite for the WDC?

McLaren is looking a bit leaden footed in trying to react to Max’s new momentum, and will hope for a return to usual service here. The track should suit the McLaren, but you have to think the Red Bull will be right there again.

Lando has had the slight upper hand in recent races and is my tip for the win again. Oscar REALLY needs a good weekend!

Note Pirelli are missing out a compound again, so tyres are C2, C4 and C5. Don’t forget clocks go back on Saturday night.

Here’s to a great race.

Date(s): Friday 24 to Sunday 26 October 2025.

UK Broadcast Timings (and track time)

All sessions are live on Sky F1. Channel 4 is showing highlights of all competitive sessions.

Nice work PiaP.

Am I right in thinking this is longest run to first corner? If so, I can only see chaos - again (and it often is here).

Max again for me. He looks ominously happy, whether it is fatherhood, Mekies, Helmet, winning in a fast car...who knows. I can see him romping off whilst the McLarens trip up racing each other.

As much as I would like to see Lando win this one, my money is on Max. His ability to deliver under pressure is unrivalled on the grid.

Thanks, Piap.

The season, which I thought was all but over, is bubbling up nicely. Thankfully, the WCC is over.

McL needs to sort out its priorities. I'm not sure they can. That's what makes it fun.

But of course last year the pressure got to him and bundled Lando off twice, resulting in a ten second penalty. Now he's firmly in the fight, who knows how he'll respond.

Best chance of a Lewis win all season? Ferrari were good here last season, and it’s an anomalous race because of the altitude doing all sorts of weird things to the car.

I predict Steve there is 0.0% chance of that!

Good to see the Lewis diehards standing by their man in the voting. There’s only 4 potential winners and not one drives a red car.

I’ll give you 0.1%, and take £10 at the 1000/1 please!

Yup, Max the T Rex wreaking havoc on lesser mortals. I’m enjoying his renaissance. It’s certainly instilling some extra spice into the championship.

yes

I'm one of a growing band of posters on these threads who begin with:

'I'm far from being a fan of Max. However......'.

The RB in Max’s hands with low drag setups has been pretty good, I’m going with him again.
