My BMW needs a new front tyre, it is a Pirelli Cinturato P7 but they only make the P7 2 and P7 3 now. Would it still be ok to change to this or does this really constitute different tyres?

How old is the remaining P7?

If there's been 2 revisions since, then seems to imply it's an oldish tyre anyway (although the C2 was only launched in 2020, and the C3 in 2024)!

Hmm, not sure, not really old. But then time does fly. It's in great condition with loads of tread, the only reason the one needs replacing is that tracking wore out the outer edge of it.

In fairness the original P7 was fairly crap but the updates are a significant improvement, I would change both personally.

I had the originals on a v50 when I bought them & they were terrible, 7mm tread & badly cracked at 3 years old, did some homework & found the C2 for a good price & significantly better scores all round.

Ok, they seem fine on my BMW.
