Would you believe that the visor mirror cracked and the dealers know this happens - to do with suspension and hitting something firm - it has this affect. It’s covered under warranty but will take 2/3 months to order/replace

Seems hard to believe, because the mirror has very little mass and is physically quite isolated from the road. Could the glass have been under stress, eg the frame too tight, and it just cracked anyway? Do you remember hitting a huge bump or pothole?

Possibly the housing but it sits on the top frame on the Volante so may be this. The sales manager instantly recognised this issue and assured me he would get it sorted

I wonder how long it was there before you noticed it?

I don’t think I’ve ever used the driver side mirror.

Well I must admit I’ve never seen that before. I know we have seen reports on here questioning the interior build quality of the latest range of cars, with more rattles and squeaks than one would expect, but how on earth does the glass in a sun visor mirror crack like that just by driving the car on a daily basis? Is it poor design, or something more fundamental, maybe suspension related? As Jon has commented numerous times every time we get a new model one of the highlights mentioned is stiffness has increased by x%! The worrying thing (although I guess it is good AML has acknowledged it) is that they are aware that this is a potential issue. I’m assuming this is just another factor which has cemented your decision to sell your car Stark? It’s staggering that in this day and age AML cannot get simple stuff like this right. I’m really not looking forward to next Wednesday! BRM.

You think that’s weird , the visor mirrors in my v8 vantage of 2013 have all distorted

You look in them and it’s like one of the fair ground mirror attractions where you see everything all funny

My Vanquish is the same. I look in the mirror and see the reflection of a grey 50 year old that I don't recognise.

During the handover my then new (original) V12 Vanquish, I remarked to the salesman that there was no mirror in the drivers sun visor. "Gentleman's car sir" was his answer.

Reminds me of the old advert for the Chelfing Prune: Complete with drivers side and woman's side airbags. hehe

LOL. Seriously, my vantage mirror is not glass, but warped stainless steel.
