I've never driven in a wedge convoy yet - didn't get involved with the bbwf convoy which was a pity , what does it sound like behind a 400se ? loud probably ! Anyway it would be a lot of fun if you could make it .

last time i was behind a 400 i could not hear it as i was in my 390, and i think yours is louder than mine

West Mids meet - anyone have details please?
I am a fairly new wedge owner in Birmingham and wedges appear very few and far between around here and I'd love the opportunity to drool over some more!

Cheers,
L33.

Pity , never mind , I hope the chap who bought Clive's wedge will be there as well as the usual small number of wedges - did the wedge owner with the gearbox problem on the way back from the bbwf get a recon so you are mobile again - sc1 I think ?

I will be there on Sunday. That's at least 2 wedges and hopefully there will be more. If anyone else is coming up from Milton Keynes just let me know.

My apologies to you Combine for not turning up at the meet today. I was really looking forward to it.
12:00 and out to the garage I go - but the car would not start. It turned over but just would not fire up. So it was roll the sleeves up, put the thinking cap on and get stuck in. The car eventually started but the worrying thing is I don't know why. The last thing I did was test the coil as there seemed to be a weak spark at the dizzy but the coil tested ok. I put the wires back on the coil after cleaning them up and bingo it started, but I don't think it is running correctly, possibly a mifire. I will have to check this out later as I am kn**kered!!

Wedges can be a pain as we all know ! Bit of bad luck doing that today of all days. The meet was very enjoyable too , one red seac bought off pistonheads by a local chap ( didn't get his name), he already has a 350 and a v8s ! , also there were two v6's , Jez and Ian ,and Bob from M. keynes in his 390 who has finally sorted poor running problems - ecu needed resetting correctly , Matt didn't bring his 350 which is really a 390 as he is sorting out the interior , what he doesn't know about wedges will probably fit on a postage stamp !! Looking forward to the next meet ,hope its as sunny as this one !!

I hope to go, only the weather will stop me- ie rain- my nephew is only about 3-4 miles west of Meriden so I'll find out if he can drop in there too. Meet up at Lutterworth sounds fine .
