I think I saw a post some months ago about a new independent setting up in Colchester... is this correct and anyone know anything about them if so??

Do you mean XP1?

I think a few people have used them and were happy enough but I don't know much more than that.

Alastair Bols recommends XP1 and that's the best endorsement of all

Friends of ours use XP1, say it's not the most McLaren dealer like experience you'll have, but Dan knows his stuff.

I'll second this.
Proper motor engineers.
Father and son team, really geeky in all the ways you'd want them to be about cars. Fellow enthusiasts and with racing and engineering backgrounds. Felt very secure with car in their hands.
