Am off to Fuerteventura for a week of kite-surfing in late November but have a few days before it starts to kill. Will have a car, and no other plans.

Can anyone recommend things to do/see, sunsets to watch, places to eat, places to avoid?

I accept the answer might not be much beyond sitting on a beach, but any advice is appreciated.

We drove on the west side of the island, on the FV-605 from Costa Calma northwards to La Pared, Pajara and then onto the small beach town of Ajuy. The road was a stunning, mountain road, even in a rented Corsa.

I would also agree with this.

If you're passing by Caleta de Fuste, the Algo Mas restaurant is worth a visit.
Just head towards the golf course and you will find it.

There is a great place to eat in Morro Jable called El Pellizco.

Perfect, thank you.

A rented Corsa might be more fun than a rented Fiat 500, but there is something fun about driving a go kart.
