Zabeel with kids 4/5/10
The le Meridien with water park and conncected to Westin just off the palm.
Reason contemplating a change is we have stayed on the Palm
Several times at Waldorf Astoria now and whilst it’s beautiful everything involves getting off the palm whereas the Mina Seyahi you are already off.
Any thoughts from those who have visited either would be great.

I have also stayed at Waldorf Astoria on the Palm, and the kids much preferred the Zabeel Sarray. Pool is a lot better for kids. But it is still a pain getting off the Palm. I have been to Mina Seyahi several times for meetings and events, and I would much prefer Zabeel Sarray. The le Meridien with water park and conncected to Westin just off the palm.

I guess it depends on how many times you want to leave the Palm. Generally for a week away we'd go to a Waterpark one day (usually Aquaventure, so not exactly far!) and then maybe a Mall one or two evenings. So the extra hassle never really bothered us.

Decision made then. Sounds like you already know the answer. The le Meridien with water park and conncected to Westin just off the palm.

Zabeel Saray is a nice hotel, it's showing it's age a bit but it's still up there when it comes to Palm resorts. The resturants there are nice (Amala is great if you like Indian food). Raffles is pretty similar and a bit newer so is worth a look. I've stayed at both of these on half-board packages which were great options as they have a good selection of resturants.
I don't get why the Le Meridians are so popular, they're pretty grotty. I'm not so keen on JBR, but if it's your thing then I'd recommend looking at Address Beach Resort. It's not really got a beach despite the name (they put some loungers out on the public beach), so if it's beach you want then a Palm resort is your best bet. If you get the club package at Address then you're basically on half board as the afternoon aperitivo is basically a full meal! The infinity pool on the roof is the best in Dubai too.

I think we will stick with Zabeel and try to not leave the hotel much then for this trip and just enjoy the facilities.I don't get why the Le Meridians are so popular, they're pretty grotty. I will return Feb-April with just the Mrs for a week and maybe try somewhere off palm and a bit less family oriented.
Many thanks for the help.
