Saw this last night. Well worth a watch - even if you aren't an out and out space geek (like me and a few others on PH). It explores more the human and political side of spaceflight rather than the technical history.

The whole four part series is available to watch on iPlayer.

Thanks for the heads up Eric, I've slowly made my way through these, up to episode 3 now and find it interesting to hear from the people involved and their perspectives.

I do find it a bit odd, they don't really introduce the talking heads (or even caption who they are), so it takes time to work out who they are and what they did. Can't really work out why they did it like this? I have a vague understanding of key events and people but for someone like my wife who has very limited knowledge it makes it a bit harder to follow.

This is basically the US version of Tim Peake's book and tour. We saw him last year on his tour and it was thoroughly engaging, rather like this series.

Absolutely fantastic series without the usual dramatic OTT talking down to the viewer. This is what I used to love about the BBC in the 70s and 80s was this type of programming.

More please.
