Vin Letter Discrepancy On V5

Hi all

There’s a classic American car I went to view that I might be buying and the DVLA have the 5th digit wrongly down as a “2” instead of a “Z” , is this is a big deal or can DVLA easily change this ? Or do I need to even get it changed if I buy the car ?

The car has been here and registered in the U.K. since the late 70’s so presumably this discrepancy has always been on the V5
