Hi - Does the car have catalytic convertors (couldn't see in the photos) and when were they last replaced? Also could you elaborate on what paperwork tied up in previous owner's estate means? Many thanks

Hi LS3V8GR8,

It does have catalytic convertors. There are two 200-cell sports cats that allow it to pass emissions and MOT. They were new four years ago. The new exhaust system was installed only four weeks ago and is now fully 3” stainless steel, with a balance pipe (to give its distinctive V8 sound) and valved back boxes. On quiet mode, it sounds like an original 3.9 Rover V8 and in loud mode, the video tells you everything you need- it sounds amazing!

There is a dossier of paperwork that should become available once the previous owner’s estate comes out of probate. The previous owner unfortunately passed away suddenly at a young age and due to the size of the estate it could be some time to resolve this. I have been in contact with Les Richmond Automotive in Australia, who are happy to share information on the build. I have the original build details and photos of the build (in the listing) from LRA. I also have all invoices from Devon4x4, who have looked after the Beast since it came to the UK, including my ownership. They know everything about the Beast and have meticulously upgraded a number of areas to further improve the work that LRA originally performed. This includes Alcon 4-pot brake calipers all round which stop the Beast from high speed with no fade. The suspension has been modified to accept a thicker anti roll bar front and back to control body roll on the road. D44 also added the Laser light bars (large 42” on the roof rack and smaller 24” driving light bars) and side awning - batwing 270. The PV cells and charging system are the original from LRA but the batteries have been replaced less than 10 months ago.

I have lots of information for the Beast and happy to chat through on the phone or in person.

There have been a lot of magazine articles about the Beast but here are some of the best:

https://www.4x4australia.com.au/reviews/custom-4x4...

https://unsealed4x4.com.au/range-rover-firestorm/

https://www.streetmachine.com.au/features/lsa-powe...

In the words of the editor, “ I have to take my hat off to you and the LRA team mate – it’s perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing“

Hi,

It has done 43,740km (27,178 miles) since the rebuild. As it was built in Australia, it has kilometres on the clocks. The PH front sheets only allow for miles. Hope this clarifies everything for you.

Good luck

"Only 28,000 km since rebuild in Australia"
