Just a heads-up that Prime members now automatically have a full standard Amazon Luna sub (their cloud gaming platform).

Previously there was somewhat restricted access with a small number of games that changed monthly, now there's a much larger range of games to play that stick around for a while. No monthly hours restrictions that I know of, unlike GeForce Now. But there's probably some sort of 'fair use' rule if you really hammer it.

The service also supports a subset of GOG games and can link with your GOG library so chances are you can play some of your already owned games on GOG via Luna.

If you haven't tried cloud gaming before, this is a pretty good way to see if it will work for you for 'free' (if you are a Prime customer). I've found streaming quality and performance to be spot on, as good as my GeForce Now streams.

It works on computer via browser, or an app on Smart devices. There are also apps for Android and iOS. My LG telly has an app and I side-load the FireTV .apk on my ShieldTV box. Hopefully they'll directly support AndroidTV at some stage.

What controller are you using with your LG TV? I have an Xbox elite controller but, when I've tried pairing it with my apple TV box to use steam link, the latency was so bad it was unplayable.

I'm using a Gamesir G4 in 2.4GHz dongle mode (plugged into a USB port on the TV) and it works well with everything I've tried it with but TBH I usually just play on my Shield with an Xbox360 controller on the MS wireless dongle as it's my all-in-one box for media and streaming games. It does mean that I keep having to sideload the latest Luna .apk every month or so.

I generally find sticks with dedicated 2.4GHz dongles to give better reliability/latency than using bluetooth. Sometimes it's fine but often there are a variety of issues.

I tried it over the weekend. Bluetooth connected controller wasn't as bad as I expected but, there is definitely some lag. Only tried Hogwarts Legacy and haven't really got into much combat yet so it's been quite playable without much need for quick reactions.

In hindsight, I don't think I activated game mode on the TV when I tested it so, that'll probably help a bit too.

otherwise, I may look into the dongle option.

Not sure if the dongle for the Elite will work ... I also have an Xbox Series controller with dongle (which will use the same dongle/protocol as the Elite) and that dongle didn't work with my ShieldTV .. it does work fine with PC and MiSTer FPGA. I think it uses the latest MS protocol which is not widely supported .. the Xbox360 dongle uses their older protocol which became a de-facto standard at it seems to work on everything. You could give it a go though (assuming you already have the dongle, it won't cost anything to try out).
