Put my money where my mouth is to support AM and ordered the new DB12 S.

As with all "S" models, the DB12 S is pretty good value considering the fact it comes with some DB12 options as standard.

Got a little bit carried away with all the carbon options ;-)

Here are some screenshots of my configuration

Congrats! Good to see some folks on here actually buying some new Astons! Love the "pop" of the side mirrors. Interesting to go with the carbon seats for the DB12 - they look great. Delivery time? Early 2026?

Thanks!

I'm obsessed with the Lime Green accents on the Podium Green F1 cars, and was surprised to find out that you can order a contrast colour for the side mirrors. Also have the lime green accents on the front and side splitters (hardly to see on the pics)

Yes, carbon seats look fantastic. Looking more like an art sculpture as a seat and certainly worth the pain while getting in and out of the car ;-)
Ordered all the carbon bits for the interior too.

The DB12 S will be more driver focused as the DB12, perhaps more a sports car than a GT, so thought the carbon seats will suit the DB12 S well.
I have high expectations on the sportier character of the car. Hope for a DB12 with Vantage driving dynamics.

Estimated delivery will be May 2026.

Waited so long for the launch of the DB12 S. Now I can't wait for the delivery :-)

Yes, Aluminite Silver. Comes as standard, as all Signature Metallics, with the DB12 S.

For me, the DB12 S is the sweet spot of the current AML GT car range.

Congrats - spec looks lovely.
Not tempted to add “your” Lime to the interior by way of some stitching ?

Congrats, that looks great. Always thought the DB12 is a stunning car to look at. Just don’t think I could stomach the depreciation. Hopefully the S fairs better than the standard car.

Congratulations on you new car on order. Looks great. Have you specified May ‘26 delivery as 8 months lead time seems incredible long especially given that AML are not operating at capacity and have cash flow issue. Would think that fast turn-around times would be one of the first things to look at if capacity is available.

Getting Lime Green contrast stitching was my first thought, but for some reason it looked, to my eyes, a little bit tacky, especially with the herringbone stripe on the rear seats and roof line.

I went for contrast stitching in argento metallic, which is a perfect match for the Alumite Silver paint.

For reference…, you may need to click the pics to see them in original size for a more detailed view…

It seems you've started an AM collection. Love the spec with stripe on your AMR Vantage.

Thanks Minglar.

Will posts some pics for sure, hope the car will look in flesh as good as in the configurator pics.

Good to read some positive comments in the AM section again.
The overall negativity lately is a shame. We should support the brand and not destroy it by all the negative posts.

That's a real beauty, congrats on the spec. Good choice with the seats, they'll make the car a bit more of an occasion! Take care when getting in and out though, the studs on my jeans pockets have scratched the carbon a few times when sliding over the lip (but all smart repaired now).

Love the lime green contrasts, I might have gone for the calipers too!

All S models are pretty good value, some none S options coming as standard. In addition to that, the S model all have sportier suspension, improved shifting times, exhaust, etc.

AM isn't charging more for all the S models, which is a very fair gesture to their customers, but nobody is talking about that.

Just think of Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini launching sportier versions of their cars and charge nothing for it.
This would never happen!

Fortunately, here in Germany, the depreciation of AM isn't as bad as in the UK.

In fact, the sports car market crashed this year and there is no safe haven (brand) for getting hit hard by depreciation.
Even Ferrari owners have to accept that they loose 100.000 EUR in 1 year with a 296 GTB/Roma, not to forget the SF90, which depreciating like a stone.

Haven't specified May 26 delivery. My dealer quoted my delivery time of 5-6 months. Ordered the car last week, so looking for delivery in April/May.
DB12 S demonstrators will be available in January.

Thanks!

I also was worried that the studs on my jeans pockets could scratch the carbon and discussed this with a car wrapping specialist. He advised me to get some clear PPF on the carbon lip.

Played with the idea of getting Lime Green caliper too, but for some reason, I thought this might be too much.
Also, the rear calipers are pretty small, which will be emphasized when having a contrast caliper colour.

IIRC, the rears are 360mm ceramics with 4 pot calipers so not too skinny for the back? Same as my V12 Vantage Final's
