Using the calculator on his site I should be in D not E but lived here for a few years now.

The cynical side of me thinks that appealing it is a fantastic way to piss the neighbours off, they'll review it and bump them all up a couple of bands

Yea… it’s unlikely to get your council tax decreased. But it is likely you’ll be the cause of getting all your neighbours council tax increased…

I wouldn’t want them to know you’re the cause.

They won't increase CT band until there is a change of ownership.

In practice, you can just apply for a review. They might push back on the six month thing but just say that you think there is an error that needs to be corrected. My property is band H and I think it should be band G, so I requested a review despite moving in seven years ago.

They accepted that a review should be carried out but it has now been 12 months (out of 60 working days).
