Can we have a Like button

Quite often when reading a forum submission, which I agree with or enjoy but have nothing of value to add, I think a ‘Like’ button could be of value. Does anyone else agree?

No. These spoil other forums and news articles, they become a magnet for negativity if they have a down button (no irony intended).

We need a button - could be a switch - or a knob - where we can remove posts from people whom we find irritating - probably people who 'sign' their posts.

And that leads to people quoting posts that have five or six photos in them, just to say "I like the second photo". Even though PH converts them to thumbnails, it's still a pain in the backside scrolling past them.

I used to intensely dislike the "like" button, but it's better than the above.
