Insurance and ncb's

Hi all, got an issue, my wife had her car insurance for 8 years then moved to direct line with the car for 2 years, then she got a VW caddy van stayed with direct line asked for no claims to be carried over, had that 4 year's so in total 14 year's ncb's, then she changed back to a car, and ask for her ncb's on paper and they have only sent the van 4 years, so missing 10 years worth and when she calls them they say we are sorry but we can't do nothing because they actually didn't assign her car ncb's to the van policy, that's not her fault, and when she calls the car side they say yer we don't deal with the van side and will get back to you and they don't, then calling the van side they say they cant access the car side, and there systems have been updated for a few years and trying to say they now can't get information, I've been going round in circles with them for over 8 months now for them not to return any calls. I don't know where or how to deal with this, any information will be grateful 😕ta
